A run to remember: Kairos team celebrates Brighton 10k triumph
Congratulations and a heartfelt Kairos thank you to Catherine Lyons, Steven Polatajko and Matt Dear. Together, they raised over £1,150 for Kairos by completing the Brighton 10k run on Sunday (7th April) as part of Brighton Marathon Weekend.
Here, Steve Polatajko shares his experience of the day:
It’s sometimes difficult to express in words the immensity of an experience, which is probably why a shared moment in time is so beautiful.
Today was exactly that.
Electric: people pushing themselves to the limits of what they can do.
Friends, family and loved ones, carrying the runners through.
There were music bands with thumping drums.
Dads, sisters, and supportive mums.
The energy was electric; full of passion.
Love and encouragement, that was the fashion.
We fought to the finish and sat down for a well-deserved tea…
…Not to mention, we smashed our PBs!
