Chris Farnell RIP

It is with great sadness that we have lost our dear colleague and friend Chris, writes Lee Slater.

Big Chris, as we knew him, worked at Linden, the Garden Day Programme and Aftercare before joining us here at Bethwin Road, where he worked for ten years until his health stopped him doing what he loved.

Chris was a gentle giant who demonstrated the example of recovery for many to follow.

Chris commanded respect from others, partly through his measured approach to life and work.  In ten years, I think I only saw Chris react a handful of times. He was often the calm one in our sometimes heated team meetings. His presence would often bring me and the rest of the team back to earth as the mist subsided.

Chris was a staunch Liverpool fan and his partner Vicky supports us giving his Liverpool mugs to the next three die-hard fans who come through the door. We shall hand them over with a history.  Chris would like this, I’m sure.

We say goodbye, Chris, and thank you.  I can just see you up there, sitting and chatting once more with your buddy Dave C.
