Kairos finds the vibe at Making Waves Live

This Wednesday (19th February), Making Waves Live packed out Peckham Levels auditorium, celebrating musicians from Finding Rhythms‘ Making Waves project as they performed their original tracks live.
The showcase was attended by Kairos’ staff and current and former residents, some of whom have already taken part in the project, while others plan to in the future. It was a brilliant evening with a real mix of styles and the space filled up fast. By the end, it was standing room only: busy, buzzing, and filled with energy and support.
Making Waves gives people leaving prison and at-risk young people the chance to create, record and perform their own music. Working one-to-one with a professional producer, participants write original lyrics, experiment with different sounds and develop new skills. For some people, this may be the first step towards performing live. For others, it offers an opportunity to explore their creativity and share their stories.
A huge thank you to everyone at Finding Rhythms for the event and for the warm welcome. It was fantastic to experience so much talent on stage, and to celebrate both the artists who performed and the Kairos Community residents who have developed their skills, creativity and confidence through Finding Rhythms’ work.
Our congratulations to you all.
