Building links at Lewisham Recovery Networking Event
Kairos joined Lewisham Council’s Recovery Networking Event at the Civic Suite, Catford, on 17 September.
Organised by the Council’s Prevention, Inclusion and Public Health Commissioning team, the day brought together local services including Change Grow Live (CGL) Lewisham, Bench Outreach and Riverside.
Kairos was represented with a stall run by Rachel Johnson, therapist at the Garden Day Programme, and Adrianna Jones, Communications and Development Officer. Throughout the day, they met a wide range of professionals, partners and people connected to recovery services, including many with previous links to Kairos or direct experience of our houses.
The event featured a keynote from Naetha Uren of the Recovery Coach Academy, with sessions focused on co-production, lived experience and collaborative practice. Afternoon workshops, led by Waythrough and CGL, introduced participants to ear acupuncture and somatic work, while discussions throughout the day explored how organisations can work together to strengthen local recovery pathways.
Our thanks to Winston Allamby and all at the Prevention, Inclusion and Public Health Commissioning team for such a successful, collaborative and enjoyable day.
