Fifty-one people from Kairos travelled to Lourdes on 14th September, writes Mossie Lyons, Director of Kairos. As in previous years, we assisted with the annual Oblate pilgrimage. The work ranged from setting up the hospital in preparation for assisted guests to then servicing all aspects of the week, with teams covering hospital duties, dining room assistance, security, night shifts, and wheelchair pushing.
Once again, it proved to be a time of friendship, camaraderie, collaboration, and joy, with a feeling of togetherness that is hard to put into words.
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped organise, fundraise, and prepare for the trip and, above all, to those who took part, for the huge contribution you made to its success.
