Waythrough brings Recovery Month to Forest Hill

September is Recovery Month and Waythrough PCRS marked the occasion with a lively community day at Forest Hill Quaker Meeting House on Tuesday (9 September).

Kairos joined as a partner organisation, with Tim Penrice and Adrianna Jones manning our stall, alongside local services and peer groups.
The day included powerful testimonies of recovery, an exhibition of art and photography coordinated by Pavement2Catwalk founder Donald Waugh, and a poetry corner with chocolate prizes. Attendees added their own words to an installation that grew throughout the day, with everyone coming together to share a curry lunch and plenty of coffee.
The Garden Day Programme also had its moment, with Tim invited to speak about what the GDP ‘day-hab’ offers and how the team supports people in recovery.
It was a day with real energy and a strong sense of community. Our thanks to Andrew and the team at Waythrough PCRS for organising such a memorable and meaningful celebration of recovery in Lewisham.
