Tarquin’s Marathon run for Kairos
When Tarquin White heads out on his London Marathon run on Sunday 28 April, he will be running the 26.2 miles for Kairos Community Trust.
This is Tarquin\’s first marathon and he has been running every day, with interval training on Wednesdays and his longest run of the week on Sunday. Last weekend, he ran 17 miles and is aiming for 18 next Sunday. \”I played football and ran for my school but only started again in sobriety.
“After battling a 25-year drug and alcohol addiction I’m proud to say that by the time I run the Marathon, I will be five years clean from all mind altering substances. I’ve only been able to achieve this with the help and support of Kairos Community Trust. I initially went into one of there residential rehabs for three months and then moved into a supported house with a allocated key worker who gave me the support and encouragement to go back to college, and I’m now on my way to becoming a Gas Engineer and wouldn’t be where I am today with out Kairos.
“Please help me to raise as much money as I can so it can help other people get their lives back on track.”
Thank you, Tarquin!
