Busiest summer on record?
Parched: Greenwich Park at the end of a hot, dry summer that was also our busiest ever.
Today – 31 August – is the last day of meteorological summer, writes director Mossie Lyons. Hopefully, most people will have had some kind of break. It’s been one of the busiest summers I have known. All our teams have done wonderful work – expecially considering that we are still coming out of the pandemic.
So, I am taking this opportunity to thank you all – and to make a request… Please help over the next months of autumn and winter to encourage the conservation of energy in the houses where you live and work. And, of course, please don’t forget the hosepipe ban.
