CRASH Christmas Jumpers for Kairos at Morrisroe
AJ Morrisroe+Sons welcomed a team from Kairos to their Borehamwood offices last Friday. One of the country’s leading concrete specialists, Morrisroe is also an active patron of CRASH, the building industry’s charity, and our visit was part of that charity’s annual Christmas Jumper Day to raise awareness and funds for their projects.
“Together, CRASH and Kairos build homes,” Kairos director Mossie Lyons told a boardroom full of Morrisroe staff in festive knitwear. “And you must never underestimate how important your part as patrons is in that – and we thank you.”
After a ‘guided tour’ slide presentation of Kairos services (and building projects!), beekeeper Grace Madden talked about the vital role the beekeeping project plays in supporting recovery in the Kairos community and its importance in the greater environmental scheme of things. She gave a honey-tasting and showed off our Christmas ‘bee hampers’. Nothing is wasted in our honey production and she and her team are making candles from the precious wax as well as other products.
Our thanks to everyone at Morrisroe, with special mention to Maria from accounts who organised a spectacular, three-paella ‘picnic’ outdoors in the carpark.
