Staying connected through the London Recovery Network
Kairos is pleased to be part of the London Recovery Network and part of the wider conversation around recovery in London.
Last week (19-20 February), one member of staff and one volunteer attended the Network’s Recovery Events training, delivered by Chris from Not Saints. This two-day course covered the practical building blocks of planning and running events, including timings, budgeting and run-sheets, coordinating roles on the day and proportionate risk planning. Our thanks to Chris and Not Saints.
We are looking forward to the London Recovery Network’s in-person event later this year and to being involved alongside other London services, community groups and people with lived experience. In the meantime, the Network’s online sessions are a useful way to stay connected to what is happening across London.
The next London Recovery Network webinar takes place this Tuesday, 3 March, 10:30am – 12 noon, online, and will be hosted by Collective Voice.
The session will include contributions from Foundation for Change, Woolwich Service Users Project, neurodiverse mutual aid groups and others, alongside an update from the London Recovery Network. It is a great opportunity to hear what is working across services and communities, what is challenging right now and where collaboration can make a difference.
