New beds and furnishings arrive at Bethwin Road

Kairos recently collected a number of high-quality mattresses, bed bases and other useful items from the Cavendish Hotel in central London thanks to the support of CRASH Charity. Here, the deputy manager of Bethwin Road residential rehab, Dominic O’Gorman, shares his account of the day.
Once again, thank you to CRASH Charity!
On 10 February 2026, James and I, with the help of the Kairos Maintenance crew, attended the Cavendish Hotel in central London to take delivery of 15 top quality mattresses and bed bases. Mike Allen from CRASH had met us there a week earlier for a look around and to see if we could make use of any equipment or furniture. It was too good an opportunity to turn down and we had to act fast, as the items needed to be collected quickly.
The contractors were very accommodating to us on the day.  It was a busy one, with several trips to and from the hotel to Bethwin Road, but well worth the hard graft by all.
As well as these mighty fine bed bases and mattresses, we also had chairs, ironing boards, 25 desk lamps, some large decorative lamps and an assortment of umbrellas for our residents.
Thank you, Mike, and thank you, CRASH, for your support in connecting us with this opportunity. The residents have already complimented us on how comfortable their beds are.  The additional items are being put to very good use.
