Sunshine, sea and team time in Broadstairs

Each summer, the Move-on team heads to Broadstairs for a day out.  It is a chance to catch up in person, step away from the day-to-day, and spend time together.
Here, Kairos Move-on Manager Matt Dear shares a few reflections from this year’s trip.

Last week (17 July) saw the Move-on team’s annual trip to Broadstairs.  This is a trip we have made for the past six years and a well-earned chance for the team to relax and have some team bonding.  A lot of the time, the team is not all in one place at the same time, so this trip is a good way for everyone to catch up with each other: not just discussing work matters but also taking time to relax in each other’s company.

It was a lovely day.  We spent some time on the beach, with some of the support workers brave enough to go into the sea.  The weather was quite nice, although unfortunately Steven and Jason got sunburnt.  The lesson there?  Carry some sunscreen, lads.

After a few hours on the beach, it was time for fish and chips, then on to the ice cream parlour for some delicious Italian ice cream before heading back to London.

A great day.  We look forward to returning next year.
