Aviva volunteers help refresh Kairos gardens
Our outdoor spaces are looking brighter this summer thanks to the fantastic support of nine volunteers from Aviva, who spent Monday 29 June helping to refresh three gardens at our supported houses in Lewisham.
Working alongside members of the Kairos community, the volunteers helped to weed flower beds, plant new flowers and give patio areas a deep clean. Kairos has recently taken on this premises and gardens where unattended for some time before our arrival.
We are always grateful for the time and energy given. Kairos has been supported by help of volunteers for more than 20 years, and this was the third volunteer gardening day Aviva has organised with us. Their continued commitment has made a real difference to our homes.
We’re delighted that another volunteer gardening day is already planned for mid-August, when we look forward to welcoming 20–30 volunteers to continue their great work.
A huge thank you to everyone from Aviva who took part. Your support is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to working together again soon.
We are grateful to Volunteering Matters for their support in bringing together the volunteer team.
