On Friday 19 June, Kairos Community Trust Director Mossie Lyons was proud to take part in the BIG Construction Diversity Challenge 2026.

The event brought together people from across the construction industry to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). Teams took part in a range of fun physical, practical and mental challenges, while raising money for CRASH, the construction industry’s charity.

Held at Newark Showground and organised by Nimble Media, the event was a great opportunity to highlight the difference that working together can make.

Kairos Director Mossie Lyons attended as a CRASH Ambassador and keynote speaker. During his speech, he shared Kairos’ belief that everyone deserves a safe bed to sleep in at night. For many people, it is the start of a new chapter and a chance to rebuild their lives.

Mossie also spoke about our partnership with CRASH and the important support they provide. CRASH helps charities like Kairos in three main ways: through grants, donated building materials and the skills and expertise of people working in the construction industry. This support helps us improve our properties and create safe, welcoming homes where people can recover, rebuild their confidence and move towards independent living.

He finished by thanking CRASH for their continued support over many years. Their help with refurbishing our homes, providing materials and sharing their expertise has made a real difference to the people we support.

Mossie also thanked Nimble Media for organising another successful BIG Construction Diversity Challenge and everyone who took part.
