Linden Grove’s dining room floor restored from worn to wonderful

After its successful revitalisation in 2021, it wasn’t long before the beloved wooden floor of the Linden Grove dining room again showed signs of age.  Last week, the tables and chairs were moved outside once more, where Sandra revived the makeshift dining area of Café Kairos under the gazebo and residents and staff enjoyed their meals in the sunny spring weather.

Over the course of five days, the floor underwent treatment for warping and damage.  Damaged slats were replaced and the entire floor re-levelled and sanded.  The old varnish was stripped away, and new coats applied.  By the end of the weekend, the varnish had dried, leaving the floor smooth and ready for furniture to be returned, fully equipped to handle the hustle and bustle of daily Linden Grove life.
