Lottery grant for Kairos Prisoner Response Project

We are proud to announce that the National Lottery Community Fund has made a substantial grant to support the Kairos Prisoner Response Project in Burnt Oak, north London. The grant will cover the salaries of two dedicated Move-on team support workers for the three adjacent supported houses in Burnt Oak, north London. The grant covers a period of three years from 10 August 2023.

As a  result, Fay Sandford will join criminal justice lead Frank Macdonald full time next month.

“For many people, recovery from drugs and alcohol also means recovery from the causes and consequences of past offending,” explains Frank  Macdonald. “Our Prisoner Response Project supports ex-offenders in recovery to find new lives and independence in the community.”

“This project has grown from the outreach work by Kairos staff over the past few years and the recognition of the needs of former offenders in recovery. We are grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for making it possible to develop the project further and we look forward to working with the Community Fund over the coming years,” says Mossie Lyons, Kairos director.
