Wellbeing walk at Nunhead Cemetery
Residents from Linden Grove abstinence-support hostel joined Rose from Ardu Wellbeing for another guided mindfulness walk through Nunhead Cemetery this week (26 August).
The session was the second recent walk arranged specifically for Linden Grove’s residents. Feedback was very positive, with residents describing it as “calming and relaxing” and “so peaceful”. One said they had “gained new spiritual tools from the walk”, while another described the cemetery as a “great setting – and surprising, in that it wasn’t what I expected from a walk in a graveyard”.
The walks form part of the East Lodge Ruin to Revival project at Nunhead Cemetery. Our thanks to Rose from @ardu_wellbeing for leading another great session for our residents and to everyone involved in making this opportunity possible.
- This walk was part of a project by Ardu Wellbeing with Southwark Council and the Friends of Nunhead Cemetery, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the restoration of Nunhead Cemetery’s old East Lodge.
