Homeless Link Leadership Summit
Kairos director Mossie Lyons attended the 2019 Leadership Summit (13-14 Nov) run by Homeless Link, the umbrella organisation for homelessness charities. The aim of the two-day residential conference held at Stoke Rochford Hall, Grantham, was to support successful leadership in the homelessness sector: what it takes to be a leader and to manage a team working to make change in peoples’ lives.
“The two keynote speakers set a great tone for the following two days,” said Mossie. “Anne Fox, CEO of Clinks, talked about ‘Leading a culture that reflects your organisational mission, values and objectives’ and Frances Brown, an expert on governance, spoke on ‘Creating a safe organisational culture’.
“The event was well organised with excellent talks and workshops. And it was really nice to spend time and compare notes with leaders of other of charities from around the country. We all went away with a lot to reflect on.”
