Just for today: the Garden BBQ Programme
AA’s 81st Founders Day and the Kairos Garden Day Programme Summer BBQ were celebrated by old and new recovery friends, former and current Kairos residents and GDP participants last Friday (10 June) in warm sunshine and a happy atmosphere.
Our thanks to the volunteers who helped make it a special day. Sandra, Mark, Gary, Sam and Duane all worked hard to provide food and drink to the 60-plus guests who came to the party. Frankco deserves a special mention for the music and Tony the water-melon man would have won any ‘Best Shirt’ award for his Hawaiian hibiscus number.
Guests from RAPt, Charis, Southwark SMT and Camden NHS were welcomed by the GDP and also by the residents of 66 Nunhead Lane, whose quiet garden was noisier and smokier than usual. Thank you all for your cooperation and support. – Tim Penrice, GDP manager
