The annual trip to Lourdes to assist with the Oblate pilgrimage of the Anglo-Irish Province took place from 16th to 22nd September this year. Thirty nine people from Kairos travelled to the foothills of Pyrenees in France, assisting with everything from helping guests in the hospital and wheelchair-assisted pilgrims, to night duty and security.
Mossie Lyons said, “From the point of view of us as a group, it’s such a bonding experience – there’s a great sense of camaraderie, well-being and positive outlook, and that beautiful feeling of togetherness. Thanks to all who helped in any way – who prepared beforehand, for all the hard work in Lourdes, and to all who fundraised for the trip over the year.”
